"Benevolent sexism" is when you think treating only men like shit is ok.

"Hostile sexism" is when you think it's ok to occasionally treat a woman just as you'd treat a man.

I guess the only proper way to treat a woman is to walk past and ignore her.

In the actual quiz, there's also a measure for "benevolent sexism", which will result in the max of 5.00 if you answer the questions the way Sabrina Deep suggested. So one might conclude "so it's not really saying it's not sexist to answer this way". But even then, there remain two issues

1: Why, on the PBS website, did they not also score for "benevolent sexism"? Only scoring for "hostile sexism" makes it out as if "hostile sexism" is the only kind of sexism that's an issue. But clearly anyone who would truly answer the questions in the bias way that Deep demonstrated is certainly sexist to a problematic degree

2: Why call it "benevolent sexism" when really the "women are pure and morally superior; men are nothing without them; men should sacrifice themselves for women" demonstrates a type of hostile sexism against men? It might be benevolent towards women, but clearly not to men

So the quiz still has quite a gynocentric slant if it's only measured on how it affects women: it's bad sexism to say women are less than men (or even equal to men it seems, judging by the results when you simply disagree that women are more pure and worthy of protection); it's good sexism to say men are less than women; and if benevolent sexism ever is bad, it's only because of how it may negatively affect women

Which seems to imply that benevolent sexism (the idea that women are superior and more valuable than men) would be perfectly fine if not for how it sometimes leads to victim blaming females. That it also leads to countless men dying in wars and workplaces because they're the one's pressured to do the dangerous jobs so women don't have to, or countless female criminals getting away with their crimes because they're assumed to be morally superior therefore not a real danger is not the problem with "benevolent" sexism (AKA sexism against men)
