Even though it's one company, this move can set a dangerous precedence for others to follow.

And no one cares. When even Time Magazine elevates #metoo to cultural status, puts only women who have spoken out on the cover, it's expected.

Going to dissent here. He fucked up by talking when he shouldn't have. He could have said a million things that meant nothing and kept his job, e.g. "I can't comment for the company", "It's being investigated", etc.

Instead he made a statement to someone he didn't know about the position of his company about a media sensitive subject during a time of heightened visibility.

He didn't screw up for not firing the accused. He got fired for not keeping his mouth shut.
