so they don’t bring up the point that he was sexually harassed by a woman when she pulled down the front of his dress. no? guess it doesn’t matter when it happens to boys.

On the plus side, the one who did it (Miss Heinous) as you can see in http://starvstheforcesofevil.wikia.com/wiki/Princess_Turdina/Transcript basically got water-ballooned by the girls in response to doing this.

Of course, if the male headmaster of an all-boys school had pulled down the top of a girl disguised as a prince, pretty sure it would've had a very different response.

This is largely the issue of male v. female nipples though. Boys have been shown barechested in this show, girls haven't. Even The Loud House (which toys with female toplessness) has the males barechested more often.

I watch this show, and I can tell you this is waaaaaaaay out of context. The boy in question, Marco, was disguised to get into an all princess school and save a friend. He wasn't trying to pretend to be a princess or anything like that. Go watch the show before you jump to conclusions.

I was thinking the same thing. He didn't WANT to be a princess.

[–]LoicyT 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Sure he did, his Turdina identity earned him big $$$ (enough to take Jackie on feasts) and he didn't want to risk that.

The boy in question, Marco, was disguised to get into an all princess school and save a friend. He wasn't trying to pretend to be a princess or anything like that.

In season 1, he was trying to pretend to be a princess (to get into the school to save Star... or was it Ponyhead?) but in season 3 this was not the case. http://starvstheforcesofevil.wikia.com/wiki/Princess_Turdina is about him maintaining the facade allegedly because he doesn't want the girls to lose their hero...

However this is deconstructed because it's revealed in season 2 he makes hundreds of dollars a week from Turdina merchandise sales, and in s3 he was enjoying the adulation, being carried around by fans, etc.

Either way, not really about male harrasment at all

Turdina

Great name for a shitty character.

Princess Arms: "The woman herself – Princess Marco Turdina!"

Diaz: "I, Princess Marco Turdina, am a boy!"

Mouse Princess: "Could we get a selfie with Marco Turdina, Boy Princess?"

Heinous: "I'm coming for you, Princess Marco Turdina!"

Words have meaning.

Daily Mail has a poor title choice. It should be "Disney debuts their first" not "Disney debuts first".

There have certainly been boy princesses prior to Marco Diaz. Heck it's even the 2006 English volume title https://www.amazon.com/Boy-Princess-Vol-Seyoung-Kim/dp/1600090303 of the 2002 Manga "Kiss Me Princess" https://myanimelist.net/manga/837/Kiss_Me_Princess so Japan has been there and done that 10 years prior.

Mulan might also arguably qualify since she lived/presented as a boy and was included among the Disney Princess lineup.
