Has anyone else seen the case of Lavinia Woodward?

Basically, she did drugs and tried to kill her boyfriend. TLDR recently covered it and I can't help but feel that if a man had done half of the things she was trialed for, it would of had a very different result. Is this kind of ridiculous sexism common in our legal system? How can we go about changing it?

This is the link to TLDR's video covering the case, he links all his sources in the videos description https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Re_Md0xgj-E
