Exact numbers are impossible to ascertain. The number of rape reports are about 0.5 per 1000 people (justice bureau stats). The percent that are false is estimated somewhere between 2% and 60% (the more reasonable research is normally between 8% and 40% but it could be anything really). So really, quite low. It is in all likelihood not greater than 0.02%.

However, the issue is a matter of the rights of the accused not the number of accusations itself.

Edit: there was actually one study that concluded 90% of rape accusations were false, but it was a small group and assumed an accusation was false if evidence was lacking, so that one should be ignored.

Whelp, according to the DOJ the rate per 1000 of experiencing rape or sexual assault (they don't divide the two) is 1.6 in 2015. That means .16% of everyone over 12 years old experienced a rape or sexual assault in 2015.

Considering the lowest rate I've seen in a study actually designed to measure false allegation rates is 40% (methodology was on a college campus, so applicability to general population is tenuous but it's the best we've got right now) would mean that the chances of being falsely accused is .064% per year.

Using your link as a reference, your risk of being falsely accused is 4 times more likely than dying while base jumping: roughly 1 in 15 people each year.

Because the chances of being reported to the police and facing arrest are probably pretty low.

But if you go to a liberal college, like Berkley, where "ongoing affirmative consent" is that policy of the land and we're talking about being reported to a college disciplinary board? I'm gonna say that your odds go up pretty significantly. It's a pretty low hurdle for an accuser to get over, so if they have any reason to want to avoid personal responsibility for regretted consensual sex, it is a fairly easy way to change yourself from a slut to a victim.

Finally, if you're just talking about someone accusing a guy of rape in a friend group or on social media? It's basically Russian Roulette. Every time you have sex that's a possibility. The best way to protect yourself is to "not stick your dick in crazy". Unfortunately, sometimes the crazy isn't really all that obvious.
