This is no surprise to anyone with half a brain, who isn't living in a delusional bubble about the world. For men, harassment is practically a way of life. It's something that boys have to learn to cope with from a very young age, because assault, abuse, harassment and bereavement will come at them every day from everyone and in every capacity. It's something men just have to learn to deal with, because that's what everyone expects men to do. It's why men tend to under-report most forms of harassment, abuse and assaults that happen to them. Not just because it's something they are so used to enduring but because they know pointing it out will only make things worse for them(not only will their cries for help fall on deaf ears but it will actively anger/turn-off others, only making their situations worse).

Your average thirteen year old boy faces far more harassment and toxicity online(from men and women) than your average woman has ever experienced, and people will literally just justify it as "Well, he shouldn't be on the internet if he's that young".
