Thousands of dads are left in shock as DIY paternity tests soar. Up to 30,000 tests are being performed every year, says Alphabiolabs. In the UK about 750,000 babies are born every year. Feminists want the test to be illegal without the written consent of the mother.

Mother-of-two, 40, falsely branded a neighbour a sex offender because he 'made too much noise building a guinea pig hutch in his garden'. It seems for many women if they do not get their way they make a false sex allegation knowing a man is not protected by the law.

so women are crazy ALL 30 days of the month

They excluded emotional tests from the study.

O.o

Saw this study reported in many reputable papers too, before anyone tries to dismiss it because of the link.

Had the same thought myself-they can't get away with blaming it for doing a poor job, demanding time off, being rude or impatient, and so on. And yet, they do...

I used to have a female friend who took time off work EVERY month because of this. She regularly bitched her boss was 'sexist', even though she never could explain why, and even though he granted her the time off.

She was always frustrated that she couldn't get a job anywhere else, despite her invaluable experience as an office worker(!).

Would it surprise anyone to know she always went on and on about how great feminism was, and clogged up my Facebook feed with posts on the wage gap, accused rapists etc?

She's not a friend now. I caught a break.

I almost died laughing at the last paragraph.

I laughed at the comments. Not sure how accurate the study actually is, too lazy to look into it. But saying it's wrong because "I feel it is" is definitely a stupid as hell position to take. But that's basically every comment's argument for why "science is wrong".

They did only study 88 women and only for two menstrual cycles. They saw significant effects in the first cycle, then no significant in the second, and called it quits. That alone makes me rule this out as a legitimate study.

[–][deleted] 12 points13 points14 points 9 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

See, that's a legitimate reason to call into question the validity of the study. Rather than "I'm a bitch on my period, so it's not true!"

edit; thanks for doing some legwork!

Here's another gold nugget from the study, "Food craving, implicit dyadic coping, as well as sexual stimuli and emotion tests were excluded from the present study because they do not assess prefrontal cognitive abilities."

Also, their way of excluding false positives from repeated testing was to chose between three tests for the tests. However, they started all of the tests at a predetermined point in each individual woman's menstrual cycle. I would think a better approach would be to start the testing at a random point in their cycle, i.e. one may or may not be menstruating, and then compare the results. That if you saw a shift of data across the board on the second test, you would know for certain the tests were influenced by multiple testings. Their results could possibly indicate women deal with NEW stimuli poorly due to hormones.

Your other posts argue women get a raw deal biologically so deserve the rights they get to make up for it. Can't say I think this is a fair or balanced view on men's rights but youre free to post your views, unlike men in the feminist subs

[–]soul_in_a_fishbowl 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I have argued that men and women are biologically different and that this should be accounted for in lawmaking. That is not a statement that the treatment of one or the other is in someway better or worse or that one has it worse off than the other, but merely a statement that real biological differences should not be ignored for the sake of equality.

[–]Rethgil 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Actually its not the first time these findings have been suggested . what proof is there that the reverse is the case anyway?

[–]soul_in_a_fishbowl 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

If you look in the actual journal article, which you clearly did not, you can see their references.

[–]Rethgil 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Calm down. And don't make assumptions.

By the way, if the notion that women ARE strongly affected monthly is the case, then surely it is reasonable that employers may choose to reject hiring them because of impaired performance? That's an issue that contradicts the feminist dogma about women being equally up to tasks and challenges as men...

I always just figured they were being a bitch because having to deal with massive cramping/constant pain puts me in a bad mood. Fuck the last 5 days I've had a pinch in my back and I'm a fucking asshole right now. I need a beer and it's 6:58am....

Sometimes the explanation is simple, don't look at the fucking chemicals, pain effects people's mood. Also leaking out dried out brown blood in my pants would gross me the fuck out and would also make me pissed.

Thank God I'm a dude, all I gotta deal with like that is Gas pain from eating awesome food, then shitting out said awesome food when my gut hurts.
