There's also a lot about the problems women face in the Islamic countries.

I'm telling you, in places where women are facing lot of issues, men already might be facing almost double the trouble.

The country in which both sexes have it bad will likely be more equal, but thats at extreme poverty by Western standards.

Sweden seems pretty good. Alimony is very uncommon. Child support is reasonable. Shared parenting seems to be the default. Few cases go to court, but it has become more common lately. I don't have any data though.

Your question is on wrong foot. There is no such thing as gender equality - if it is, it's based on an assumption that men and women are equal in all aspects. They are not equal and therefore need to co-exist complimenting each other's strengths and weaknesses.
