My friend is having a child with his ex gf. He is 25 and she is 23. She recently left his house in Ferndale,MI and moved in with her parents in Charolette, NC. He has taken a 4 year apprenticeship to graduate on to being a full time electrician for 2 years now, she never has had much for stability for jobs. She is also a type 1 diabetic and has had trouble maintaining her health, with a suspended license. She owes the state of Wisconsin a significant amount of money. I know my buddy would be a great parent and all his friends and family want him to get custody. Is there anything he can do? He is pretty depressed and afraid of a sexist judicial system, so I figured reaching out here may be a good idea.
