Discussion: Is this a PPD (The girl exploiting her fathers views for social media praise) or is this a example of two wrongs do not make a right or is this an example of a horrible parent?
I am going to agree with you 100%. No one loves their children as much as their parents. Parents and kids know each others strengths and weaknesses. As a family we have to enhance each others strengths and soften each others weaknesses. It feels like she knew her dad's weakness and threw it in his face. He said some really regrettable things. I honestly do not think either side 'wins' in a case like this. I mean society might pat her on the back but causing possible permanent damage to your support structure will have life long implications.
Out side of a article that will get a lot of clicks is a guy whose emotional outburst might cost him a job and friends. I am sure we have all said things in the heat of the moment we would not want others to see. Yes, this feels a lot like two wrongs do not make a right. But unless a college offers her a free education as a result of this article she may have really shot herself in the foot.
