Many of my friends agonized about the Trump victory back in November. "Ignorant, homophobic, and racist rednecks did this to us!" they cried. "How dare they! They should all just disappear."
I remember sharing their feelings, and then thinking really hard about my own background. My mother's side of the family lives in West Virginia; they were coal miners' children, and I love them dearly. I've witnessed their poverty firsthand; I've seen their way of life dying.
Yes, racism and homophobia are present in those, but this black-and-white way of thinking - "Those people have irredeemable traits, therefore they are worthless and don't deserve my time or consideration" - will be the death of us as a country. Those coal miners have hungry children, they have love, they have the same needs as any pro-gay, pro-equality liberal crying about Trump. Is it any wonder their dire situation had this outcome? They're begging for help.

It feels good to have someone to blame for your problems. It feels good to put down your "oppressor;" it makes you feel like you have some control if you can still say "fuck you." There are many privileges held by women that men don't enjoy; there are many privileges held by men that women don't enjoy.
Modern feminists are doing men harm by policing and excluding them from their politics. Feminists need men's help. Seek first to understand, then to be understood.
