Hey guys, just wanted to share a little experience with you guys. So, I live in Sacramento, Ca and work downtown. Almost everyday I see homeless right outside my work. I've always wanted to help them, even looked into homeless shelters in the city, but I've always been too afraid to approach them, much to my shame. Well, it's been raining the last few weeks, and today was really bad. As I was waiting for the train I noticed another such homeless man sleeping outside my building, in the rain. I wanted to do something but was once again too afraid. By some grace of God I saw a woman go up to him and started to talk to him and help him out. She then came over to where I was and asked us to help him get a hotel, shaming us for our inaction. Her courage finally got me to act and I gave the man some money and got him so food from a nearby store. It felt great to finally take action and I thanked the lady for her courage. The reason for this post is to encourage all of you to have courage and to remember that our less fortunate friends are not less human and need help as much, if not more, than the rest of us. So please, let this story be a call to action and do what you can, thank you.

TLDR: finally got the courage to help a homeless man, do what you can to help those in need.
