The fantastic part is that so few of them even bothered to vote.

They so profoundly expect the world to serve them what they want that they have no concept of actually working the least bit toward it.

Wow, when even Piers Morgan attacks SJWs you know they're stupid.

Came to say much the same thing. Piers is repugnant most of the time but he's on point this time.

I often see this "I came to say this" formula. What does it mean? Why not just "I agree"? From whence did you come?

Who was handing out Participation Awards?

[–]OpheliaGingerWolfe 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

When I was in school they handed out participation trophies that looks similar to that of placement trophies to ensure that kids never felt like losers...except it didn't work as kids were mocked for getting a participation awards.

[–]EdinMiami 2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Soooo...adults who were responsible for raising and teaching children were handing them out? ......

[–]GetOffMyPrawn 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

When I was in school in the 80s they gave out ribbons for our "little olympics". 4 different colors for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and participant. Everyone knew perfectly well that the latter was the color of shame, the ribbon of losing. And all but 3 in every event were guaranteed to lose. Including me, nearly every time. But y'know what? We got used to it. Took some pride in earnestly trying to win even if we knew it was never going to happen. Because whining is for the real losers.

[–]GetOffMyPrawn 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Note how even the winners merely got ribbons. Trophies were too expensive. It's just a race after all...

Yeah, it was started earlier than the Millennials, but it didn't become ubiquitous until after Gen X, for the most part.

In my practice, we do a weekly meeting to discuss patients. When we have interns, the interns do case summaries that we vet, critique and offer suggestions on so that we can get them thinking about diagnostic work, different angles for care, different theoretical approaches, etc.

In 22 years of this process, we've had four total meltdowns where someone left the room crying because they couldn't handle the constructive criticism, and another half dozen where the person was on the verge of tears and we took a recess to calm everyone down and get them away from the verge. All of those people were Millennials.

...And this is relevant to Men's rights... how?

[–]GetOffMyPrawn 5 points6 points7 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Speculation: because the people pissing and moaning about the election outcome over the past week tend overwhelmingly to be against the notion of men having rights, when they bother to acknowledge that the idea of men's rights even exists. Just a guess. At least it's true for about 75% of the quasi-suicidal whiners I personally know who are seriously plotting escape routes to Canada.

He just triggered an entire generation!

[–]CynixCS 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Wait, Piers Morgan? The nutsack who argued for the removal of the second amendment and basically went "oh so you don't value all the dead children at [insert last school shooting], you absolute POS" if you dare to disagree with him?

I'm a British Anarchist, I think the way people attack the second amendment is disgusting really. They use nothing but emotional arguments against it which is how most in the left operate.
