I think it's pretty much describable. It's just pop stars being pop stars. The marketing teams does whatever stirs the most attention. (And of course it's not cool that some feminists would be upset if the gender was switched.)

I apoligize if I am missing the point here. I see Minaj doing the same type of photoshoot with sexy models that male artists have done too. (Of which, none are sexist.)

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but has Minaj complained about sexism before? If so, then yes, this photoshoot makes her look like a hypocrite.
