Is there any kind of split among MRAs where some will praise this for fairness and equality, whereas a very traditionalist wing might view this in terms of the alleged feminization of men? Just curious. It seems like a fair and decent change to me.

I'm all for this. Nothing worse than having to go leave the building and go to the car to change a diaper because I don't want put my kid on the sink counters.

Due to the usual bureaucracy, this will take a while to fully implement unless Congress gets involved somehow, and, as far as I know, neither Trump nor Clinton support this. If you are fighting for this, your work is far from over.
