Was half expecting 70's porn. The lessons about how to be "successful in life" through good acting in society is actually pretty spot on.

People who can't do those things will rapidly get shoved to the bottom of the totem pole.

That's an interesting thought. As more time passes, some young people will seldom see references to the 70s other than referring to porn, as the last time in history that there was a single pubic grooming style used by the whole western world. (Actually it was the mid 1980s but close enough).

I agree, teaching principles of etiquette to young people is well worth doing. The details change with time and place but the principles don't change.

I can see how this was necessary in 1970. A lot of these WACs were ony eighteen and never had any experience with social protocol. It was a time trip for me.
