TIL in the UK only men can commit rape because according to UK law rape "Requires a penis and must be penetrative". Here is a interesting legal paper on the issue. Time to change the law imo.

And what lesson was she hoping to teach? That no matter how hard you try to raise good, decent human beings, sometimes the fruit you bare is inherently rotten? That poor man!

[–]Madman644Really david 74 points75 points76 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Honestly this is the exact opposite of pussy pass denied. Scumbag bitch of a girl falsifies multiple rape allegations, lies to investigators and perjures herself in court and yet there are absolutely no legal consequences? Her name isn't even reported either so at least she'd get a reputation as the monster she is. Can you imagine that being the outcome for a guy? Fuck no this is the very definition of pussy pass absolutely no denial here. Disgusting.

[–]Jrscout 17 points18 points19 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

As I understood it, she's probably a minor. That's the only logical conclusion in my mind as to why the lawyer would have suspected that “the use of certain words, phrases, and descriptions of how she felt which seemed beyond her years.”

If that's the case, her name legally must be withheld and would also contribute to why no consequences are imparted upon her.

Is it right? No. But it's at least an explanation beyond simply pussypass.

[–]bobr05 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

"The fruit you bare". Inappropriate typo, dude.

To be fair he may have not been a good parent. Children don't turn out like this for no reason, however he clearly isn't a parent who rapes, which is good.

[–]FrostedJakes 26 points27 points28 points 9 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Some kids do just turn out like that. Maybe he wasn't the best father but that doesn't mean he was a bad father and this is the result.

[–]doomcomes 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Maybe he fixed that after this whole deal. Chances are if she turned him in for beating her that noone would take it seriously.

[–]QuarterPastJune15 points 9 years ago [recovered] (6 children) | Copy Link

So if he weren't a good parent, it would be fair for her to ruin his life by lying to authorities and perjuring herself? Because it was somehow his fault? Yeah okay...

[+]glentylee -16 points-15 points-14 points 9 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Lol. How did you come to that conclusion. I'm saying that he obviously instilled enough lack of morals or lack of attention or discipline or something so that accusing her own father of rape seemed like a good idea.

[–]Ordoom 6 points7 points8 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Or...sometimes a shitty kid with mental issues is a shitty kid with mental issues

[–]Jrscout 5 points6 points7 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

That isn't obvious at all. You've really never known a decent parent who just had a really awful kid? Plenty of people are raised well, taught every important lesson, are loved and cared for their whole life and still just become god awful human beings. Could he be a crappy dad? Sure, maybe. But he also might be a good dad who tried his best with his fucked up kid.

[–]glentylee -3 points-2 points-1 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

No. I've known good parents and the kids might be a little useless but never anything like crying rape etc. And you can't take anecdotal evidence as a fact of course. But it seems everyone's answer for this is 'what a rotten egg!'. Which is ignoring how it got to this point to begin with. We have to ignore mental illness in this instance also as I don't believe that the article states that so that's just speculation. If it's mental illness then there's a medication issue.

[–]QuarterPastJune1 points 9 years ago [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link

I'm saying that even if he was a horrible parent, he couldn't foresee, and nor does he deserve, to have his life ruined by a lie. The "to be fair" statement says "This is awful...but..." and there is really no "but" about it.

[–]glentylee -1 points0 points1 point 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I'm not saying he deserves it either.

[–]doomcomes 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

Haha, I remember when I hear of a mother dropping off 3 bratty kids at a hospital, I thought it was brilliant. That's the way to avoid the repercussions of child abuse, just tell them to get their shit together or they're going to state care.

[–]imissFPH 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

people drove from a few states over in an attempt to get there before they changed it, so they could drop off their 16 and 17 year olds.

[–]doomcomes 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Yea. It actually had benefits but it was a fucked up thing. But, kids these days are assholes and you can't do shit bout it. Back when I was little we got our asses kicked until we followed rules. child services told my wife we can only give timeouts that last the childs age in minutes as punishments, that's some bullshit.

[–]imissFPH 3 points4 points5 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Child services is terrifying.

[–]ShwayNorris 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Unless your state has some crazy laws that's not true, even spankings are still 100% legal federally.

[–]doomcomes 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Beat your kids in Iowa, you'll see :)

[–]ShwayNorris 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Do you know what the laws are specifically? cause I sure as hell would whoop some as then fight the charges.

[–]doomcomes 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

http://dhs.iowa.gov/child-abuse/what-is-child-abuse ; if unfounded then they can still take your kids but can't charge you with a crime. Funny ppl these iowa dhs agents. They told my wife they were concerned about pending drug charges, although i stopped doing them in 2005 and have no pending charges. These ppl round here like to fuck with ppl.

[–][deleted] 42 points43 points44 points 9 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

The funny thing is, if a 16 year old boy commits a serious crime, they try him as an adult and send him to prison using the same sentencing guidelines as they would for an adult. Yet, she will probably never be prosecuted at all for this.

The level of destruction and betrayal in this girls actions deserves to be punished to the fullest extant of the law. She willfully planned to use the legal system to take her father's life away. This is close to a murder as you can get without a cold corpse, because even after he was released from prison, this man would have been a sex offender for life, and subject to all of the restrictions that entails.

I wonder if he can wait until she is 18 and bring a civil suit against her for the damage her lies have done? In cases like this, there are people who will always believe that he raped his own daughter, spreading rumors and just generally making the guy miserable. I would try to sue her if I could. Keep her in poverty for life if I could.

[–]Madman644Really david 23 points24 points25 points 9 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

The punishment for false rape allegations (which is separate from rapes you can't prove to be true) should be the same punishment as the rapist would get if they were convicted.

They say that it would be a deterrent for victims to come forward but fuck that if a real rape happened there's nothing to be scared of. All this weak ass no consequences approach to false claims is that genuine rapes are viewed with more scepticism and true victims don't get believed.

The entire system is fucked and it makes me absolutely furious.

[–]imissFPH 2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

See, the thing is... stupid people don't realize that the law system isn't binary when it comes to something like this.

They think if one wins, the other immediately loses. They're too stupid to understand that just because someone is not guilty doesn't mean the accuser is guilty of lying.

[–]chambertlo 12 points13 points14 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

This is why I have never wanted children; no matter how well you raise them, they can grow up to be the rotten shits that society loves to coddle. Fuck her, and I hope her father never speaks to her again. She does not deserve anyone's sympathy.

[–]MarijoDGR 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yep, I'm with you on that one. Children are a huge responsibility and it can got either way, but I'm not risking it. I might change my mind, but as of right now what I love about kids is that I can send them back to their parents when they start acting out. Where can this poor guy send this jerk of a daughter? I'd really like to know what happened to them afterwards.

[–]Sjwpoet 12 points13 points14 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Wrong! Pussy pass granted. She attempted to literally eviscerate his life, on par with attempted murder and will face NO REPERCUSSIONS. This is a great lesson for abusive women everywhere, go ahead try and ruin someone's life completely - what's the worst that could happen? Nothing.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Right. I don't think that the stories everyone hears about what happens to pedophiles in prison are inaccurate. Can you imagine what would have happened to this poor guy, just for being "strict"? Just for not letting her stay out, or watch TV till 2AM?

[–]Virus1x 10 points11 points12 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Goodbye! Move in with your mother whatever your ass is going somewhere else or up for adoption. Fuck outta my house. Bye Felicia.

[–]Torinn88 5 points6 points7 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

If i were the dad, the second I'm out of the court room I'd be on the phone with every relative and mental health shelter I can find trying to unload this cunt. Hell, maybe even just kick her out immediately and let DCFS take her in and maybe get hit with child endangerment/abandonment charges.

Regardless of how old this girl is, I would kick her out that day and never speak to/of her again.

[–]doomcomes 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

He could find the worst mental institution that'll take a minor and commit her until she's an adult. But, might get billed if he kept rights for the purpose of making sure she stayed in the place. But yea, He shouldn't even be legally required to feed her or let her in the house.

*rationale

[–]Robborboy 3 points4 points5 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It is fucking terrifying as hell that all she had to do was stick to her story, if it wasn't for people recognizing the book, and he would have been jailed when he did absolutely nothing.

[–]Meatthenpudding 2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

And nothing happens to the girl? False rape allegations should be punished equally to rape. I'd rather be raped as a female than falsely accused as a male. The effects of a false claim are irreparable.

[–]Great-Pyrenees8 points 9 years ago [recovered] (5 children) | Copy Link

When I saw this, this sub reddit was the first to jump to my mind lol. The worst part of all is this man had zero evidence other than his word that he was innocent. Chances of him going to prison were very high. She needs some jail time imo.

[–]tsudonimh 7 points8 points9 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The worst part of all is this man had zero evidence other than his word that he was innocent

No, the worst part is that his accuser had zero evidence other than her word and it still got to trial.

[–]glentylee 5 points6 points7 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I don't even know how you could deal with someone like this. This person needs to be out in an institution for a while or something.

[–]OneSixthIrish 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Considering this person was willing to ruin the remainder of someone's life to 'teach a lesson' , an institution would be best.

[–]FrostedJakes 2 points3 points4 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Can you imagine having to go home every day to a daughter who almost landed you in prison for the rest of your life to 'teach you a lesson'?

[–]NeonDisease 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

he “had absolutely no real defense other than ‘I did not do it.'”

Well as long as he didn't do anything wrong, he has nothing to worry about.

Isn't that what the apologists always say?

[–]SunsetLine 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Someones getting disowned.

[–]Arawn-Annwn 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Considering how crazy difficult it is to prove one way or another in both situations of false accusation and actual crime was committed (with today's modern science I hear we only have a 5% shot of proving or disproving?! I see that comment a lot.), I think when it actually is provable that a false accusation was made that person should have to be registered as a sex offender just like the person they were accusing would have had to be.

[–]VIIIMan 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

If that were my kid, I would cut them off, and out of my life. "Get your shit and find another place to live". "Don't call, don't write and don't look in my general direction". "You are no longer my child".

[–]sagabag 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

"he “had absolutely no real defense other than ‘I did not do it.'” His daughter, on the other hand, had given a “compelling interview.”" If you don't see the problem with this fucking quote from the article, you are part of the problem.

[–]stinkfut 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This reads like an episode of Matlock. My PPD itch isn't scratched though, I see no consequences for this cunt.

[–]derpyderpston -1 points0 points1 point 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

As crazy as it sounds her father may not want to press charges and I doubt they'd upgrade this to adult crime. No PPD here though since she didn't pay for her crime.

For the record I would not go after my daughter in court no matter what she did to me.

[–]shdwtrev 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Even in a Lizzy Bordon situation?

[–]roachwarren 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Much more fun to punish her outside the court of law.

"OOh, you thought I was strict BEFORE? I could have sworn you accused me of rape because you obviously thought I wasn't strict enough!"
