The wife of a Bears lineman is apparently Corey Codgell, whose claim to fame is two bronze is two Olympics ... in trap shooting.

"Second rank" athlete (relatively speaking, she's still an Olympian) ina second (third?) rank sport. I don't know her, but I don't know the reigning champions of curling either.

The article compares her to Michael Phelps, who ran the IMF for decades before completely dominating male swimming? Seriously?

If female athletes want to be called by name, they have to make a name for themselves...

I mean, everybody knows the Williams sisters.

Edit: frankly, they could have included her name, but it's not the same as her husband's, and the pseudo-news was the "athlete couple" angle, combined with the Twitter length constraint. They didn't include his either.

The point about the Bears lineman's wife was a decent one, as was the one where the reporter credited a WR win to a husband instead of the swimmer. But the one about the child is completely bogus. Because of biology women are affected more by their children. So bringing this up as an obstacle she overcame makes sense, unlike with Phelps. The first half of the article is clearly written satirically, but even so, the articles that are written in the opposite manner are not nearly that bad. Plus, if a writer is writing those kinds of articles about women, they are being written to a demographic of other women. Also, they don't steal pictures from photographers.

I thought it would be interesting to note because I have a weird fascination with the way feminists behave sometimes. When they're faced with pretty indisputable evidence that they're being hypocrites it's interesting how quickly they resort to all caps and the whole "Look at the manbabies" reponses.

The only thing one of these idiots could say to a guy posting evidence of feminists doing exactly the same thing they're complaining about was "You're posting articles that over year old" then when much more recent stuff started popping up they immediately resorted to spamming insults and goading you guys though I suspect not all of the people responding were MRAs at all and they're being as paranoid as they usually are.

It's pretty interesting from a psychological standpoint, even if it's mostly pathetic. I get that exact same sort of reaction when I argue with religious fanatics. These types of people always have mental breakdowns when they're faced with evidence of their own wrongdoings or something they can't answer and try to distract the audience from it by stirring things up as much as possible. It's because they know they've lost and they can't face the possibility of being shown up publicly.

It just proves the point Christina Hoff Sommers made that this is all about ideological fanaticism rather having any kind of decent debate or point.

That's Miss California? Really? I mean she's pretty enough I guess, but I wouldn't have thought she was in that league.

Edit: sorry, get it now. I was looking at a picture of the other one who got a medal for shooting ducks or something.
