Huh. On the one hand I'm surprised, on the other hand it makes sense.

If a women doesn't want to have sex it's simple: she just has to say no. It's so dangerous for men to keep trying after that, so they will generally back off right away.

For men the story is different. I can't remember the source on this, but I believe I once heard that a man who refused sex from a women was subsequently accused of rape, and we all know how that goes down. Hence, many men generally have to come up with creative ways to avoid sex when they don't want it, rather than just communicate what they want or don't.

It probably doesn't help that due to the "all men are horny all the time" stereotype, many men probably feel pressured into not outright saying that they don't want sex, as they feel it emasculates them.

It's funny because I'm married and I recently had a business/ dinner "date" meeting with a woman who I knew had a crush on me. So I took my young daughter along....but she still kept hitting on me.

To be fair, isn't Reddit overwhelmingly male to begin with? You can't draw accurate conclusions from a subset that presume equal representation when the population you're drawing said subset from isn't actually equally divided between genders.

I'd say its largely because Reddits userbase is mostly male. Also, I'm fine with the stereotype of always wanting sex. I live it everyday!
