She will have the power to have you removed from your home and belongings

Already does, I live with her. That's independent of marriage.

if you only have one car, she gets it.

She has her own car in much better condition than mine and will be better situated to replace it when necessary.

You will be forced to pay, at least, alimony

Only if I make more than her, elsewise I can feasibly sue her for alimony. And considering she makes over twice what I make, and I have no intentions of seeking high earnings, I don't think this is a serious risk. Maybe if I win that lottery I never play or write a book I never write.

And if children are involved

Nope and never, both childfree and she's happily incapable.

I'm not saying men shouldn't be wary before marrying, I'm saying that the idea that no man should marry is ridiculous. Some people can be in positions where it is okay.

You're asking me to predict the future which I obviously cannot do. There's absolutely no point in me explaining "how this could go badly" because it's all conjecture, you're just looking for a pointless debate.

My point is that every person who has ever walked into a complete clusterfuck has always thought that they had all the bases covered and there was nothing that could go wrong. You run down your checklist and think "well, I got this all sewn up!" It's the things you don't know or don't think of that cause the problems.

When you read a story about a guy getting completely screwed over by his wife, do you think he just didn't bother to think it through? Or do you think he saw that she was crazy and just said "ah, I'll probably be ok"? They all thought they had it figured out up until the point when it all went wrong, and only when it's too late do they realize that their cleverness was all in their minds.

This is just like a teenager thinking they've got the world all figured out and their parents say "just wait, you'll learn". You think you're different and you don't want to learn from other people's experience, and the only way you'll know any different is to go through it yourself and realize that maybe you don't have perfect knowledge of the situation.
