Help with a presentation

So anyway, in my english class we've been tasked with making and performing a presentation, and I was thinking of doing something related to mens rights or anti-radical feminism, but I wanted to ask a few questions

1- Should even be doing this in the first place? A fair few of my classmates are the tumblrina brand of feminists, and I think my teacher might be too. Would I be shooting myself in the foot by bringing opposing opinions to the table, or should I go ahead and face the consequences?

2- How do I pull this off without being branded as a sexist piece of shit? I've "come out" a little bit before and the reactions were mixed, so to speak. Some people started up a debate while others still resent me to this day (thankfully not in this class)

3- Should I go for something broad or focus on one specific aspect? If I choose a big topic I'm potentially leaving myself open to be attacked from all angles, but if I drill down into one thing open, I'm gonna get nitpicked for every little thing.

4- How do I deal with the backlash? If I say anything related to gender my mandatory q and a time will be filled with "why do you hate women/support rape/want to gas jews?

Sorry if this seems like I'm trying to get you guys to do my work for me, but I was really not sure where to ask.

There is no theme, the only rules are keep it short (3-5 mins) and have a question and answer portion

In that case:

1- If it is the tumblerinas and feminists that you are worried about, then you shouldn't bother trying to be an MRA, and I promise I'm not trying to be as harsh as that sounds. Here is why: 90% of the conversations you have in the real world are going to be met with skepticism and even hate sometimes. It will always be an uphill battle and you will always be chastised. So yes, it will be hard, but if you are really passionate about it then you will be able to find the courage to do it. And if there are repercussions from your teacher, take it to the administration because that isn't allowed.

2- Focus on something that has as little to do with women as possible. What I mean is don't talk about the pay gap myth but rather something like lack of men's domestic violence shelters. That way nobody can see you as attacking women or being sexist. Your topic is probably the biggest decision you will have to make so make sure you choose the right thing.

3- Choose one topic, but open and close stating that there are many issues we face. Using my topic from above for example, you might open with something like "As a man in today's world, I am often called privileged or told that I can't be discriminated against. However there are various ways in which men are disadvantaged, and the one I will speak about today is the lack of support groups for men." By focusing on one thing, you can really get in depth with your studying on the subject, thus being more prepared for questions. It's a lot easier to defend something that you know in depth. And when you close your presentation you could lightly touch upon other subjects like, "Men are disadvantaged in various ways such as unequal incarceration, limited reproduction rights, and Male Genital Mutilation, but today I have shown you one of the most tragic problems we have."

4- There will be backlash, make no mistake. But with a carefully picked topic, the only backlash would be them asking about unrelated topics such as the pay gap. At this point you can give a very quick rundown of why there argument maybe invalid (I'm talking like 5-10 quick rundown) and then ask them to please keep questions related to your topic. The ones who will call you a woman hater or sexist, are the close minded ones that you wouldn't be able to get through to anyway, so just accept that they will be who they are and try to shrug it off. And one other thing you could do is at the beginning or end, state that you recognize that women have issues to deal with as well such as Sharia law and forced marriages. I suggest you do so at the beginning or else you might have people just automatically shut you out for your entire presentation.

This is good advice. I think if you keep it to something that almost can't have backlash - especially given the time limit - that might be best. I would personally choose the issue that men's health doesn't get enough funding. Then, casually just mention what women's health gets. Don't act like you're blaming women (you're not)- just frame it purely as - why doesn't mens health get enough funding and what can we do?

That's a serious problem and there are tons of stats you can use to back you up that nobody can argue with. And, what are the counter-attacks going to be... uh... men should just die...our breast cancer is more important? I doubt it...especially if you frame it as a "male issue" NOT a "male vs. female" issue...do you know what I mean? Just use females as a comparison - don't act like you want to take their health funding.
