I know several marketing managers and execs at 2 major food companies (they went to school with me - grad and undergrad). They are all female. Pepsi's CEO is female (who initiated a massive failed org redesign ala Carly Fiorina). The marketing team in these food companies (and many others) are very much like female cults. Sorry, I can't be any less brutal than that. They are all "decision by consensus" and overly concerned with how people "feel about food" and the "image that the food presents" rather than the fact the food they are producing is shit. They are producing more and more sugar-laden awful "snacks" and "meal helpers" for cheaper costs every year.

Point me to a major food company with male senior leadership in marketing / product development. I can't think of ANYONE I went to b-school with who is a man in a CPG company...except a few in finance / accounting.

So the point is, this article is just this guy's perspective about why he got fat...and he actually doesn't even know who is creating these marketing messages that he bought into. It's women and men..these days, far more women than men.

I like cheeseburgers and fried foods, regardless if it is marketed to me our not, posts like this in this sub really make me wonder why I am still subscribed. Then I remember, for every one of these dumb ass "trigger" posts, there is at the very least 2, actual men's rights post.
