Feminits like to pick and choose things from history and ignore other parts in creating their narrative, its decietful propoganda.

Men did not get sufferage thousands of years ago, the truth is almost everyone was oppressed for thousands of years under tyrannical governments.

Their ignorant 1 dimesonal ignorance of history is sickening. Women had difference rights recognized at different points in history, and and different priveldges based on the context.

And the pill is more responsible for women having better job opportunities and options in life then the whole feminist movement combined.

And child brides and grooms (yes that's right there are child grooms), is about socioeconomics, not sexism. A poor family can't afford to take care of a daughter forever, while a son will be pressed into hard brutal labour to support his family, so they marry the daughter off to someone who can feed and take care of her.

I don't think sex is always done right away in these circumstances. Its not always about pedophilia.

Is it sad and disturbing? Yes, but poverty leads to extremely disturbing results as part of its nature and extreme poverty more so. These people are playing with a shitty deck to begin with, just trying to make way best as they can.

Meh, seen it before.

It unwittingly reveals the paranoid urges which feminists act upon but are ashamed to actually enunciate out loud.

To wit: the portrayal of under-age white children being married-off, as if it were happening in Cleveland or Wichita rather than, say, in some village in Uttar Pradesh, or the image of voting rights being revoked for one sex, as if that is somehow an actual threat. In both cases, (child brides, voter disenfranchisement) they are things that chiefly happen to black and brown people, but we are pretending that white girls are being impacted somehow.

I think the SJW crowd normally calls that "appropriation"...

Yeah in most developed sane nations this doesn't happen. That's the funny thing about feminism is that they insist that they help women everywhere. Their scope is very limited and has only been about helping white women with some money and free time. Any help it has given to non white women is just a side effect and not intended. I can't believe people are still pushing and buying into white women being the most disadvantaged and victimized group out there.

Their obsession with anorexia is revealing. It's largely a rich white-girl affliction. To hear them talk about it, you'd think it killed way more people than, say... oh I don't know... obesity-related illnesses in rich countries or... uhm, randomly... hunger in poorer countries.

I like how they don't show the dad getting drafted and going out to war, losing life and limb while his wife stays safely at home with the kids.

They don't show dad heading down into the coal mine for his 12 hour backbreaking shift, dying of lung disease years later.

What typical feminist nonsense.

There's a very odd blooper in the comic. They talk about men starting wars but... don't women hold all the political power in that alternate universe? Why the hell aren't women the ones starting the wars? They can't even keep their own gag consistent for 2 minutes.

Yep, true gender equality can only be achieved when women spend decades doing things that men never actually did.

Cherrypicking oppression. Typical. I also like their analogy of men staying with the kids, as if that makes any sense. Ladies, you're the ones with a uterus and milk-filled breasts. Thats not mens fault, as much as you try to make it that way

Do they not understand that going to school was how boys learned to be good fathers? They didn't really have a choice in the matter…

[–]SchalaZeal01 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Going to school any longer than learning to read, write and count, is pretty recent. At least for anyone who wasn't from a well off background. Or going into priesthood (when people had lots of male kids, they sent one of the younger ones to become priest, because it was seen as good for the family reputation).

And it's actually part of the Jewish culture to educate girls more into the practical stuff, while the boys either went to work, study religious stuff like there's no tomorrow and know little practical stuff, or be from a well off family and become a doctor or lawyer.

Girls were supposed to manage the purse strings and the household as a whole when adult. Boys just needed enough knowledge for work. That's how it's historically be seen. The women weren't thought of as maids, but as managers.

As for people going into higher education. It was restricted to what would be today high middle class. The top 5% maybe. And 5% girls were able to get educated, if not as easily as 5% boys. They had way less incentive to do it though, they weren't going to be the main income of a family, usually.

Can you imagine it? It's funny she thinks the concept of countries and boardrooms would ever exist at all.

Edit: Where's the panel showing women construction workers catcalling males walking down the street with shopping bags full of goods purchased with their wife's money?
