I'm more in the boat of "two idiots beating each other up" on this one. I mean, that girl was vicious as fuck to begin with, what the hell! But the guy? Yeah, not cool, not letting her go, not letting her get into the car, grabbing her when she tried to leave, shit like that - he's an asshole too.

It looks terrible, but let's imagine, that the weght was reversed - the guy would be skinny and short, and the woman would be a hulking beast... would someone cringe at that sight as much? I don't know the context - obviously a couple fighting, we can only speculate the causes. The guy takes abuse for a very, very long time - she is not just slapping him and pushing him, she is hitting him in the face also with her fist and at one point she is kicking him. She tries to get into the car - the guy grabs her and holds her, and when she pushes him back again - he snaps. That is very brutal - several direct blows to the face, broken nose, probably lips or a black eye. She is stunned. A woman tries to intevene, but the guy picks the girl up - and this is where he probably crosses the line from snaping to assaulting - because he not only attacks the girl, but the woman to - obviously threatening her - probably because of the footage on her cell phone or a threat to call the cops - twice he goes after the woman, while making sure the girl does not leave his car and finally he drives off. I can understand being attacked and pushed past the limit - but after the initial battery - be best thing to do would be either to leave immediately - any relationship should be considered null and void, and allow the woman to help the girl. Attacking the other woman - shows this guy is dangerous and should not be let off the hook.

legally the fool missed his self defence claim "window" so would risk prosecution for this.

having said that, she deserved the kicking in my view.
