Teenage girl posts photo on Facebook of a man she thought was filming her. Turns out the man is innocent, has special needs and is half blind, and his family now fears for his safety after backlash.

The Guardian is just a propaganda rag - the hypocrisy is just par for the course (pardon the pun).

Couldn't have said that better, myself. "The Guardian" = Just stupid feminists.

Here's the original a BBC article, printed today, about Muirfield, a golf club in Scotland that hosts national Open tournaments.

Edit: Here's an archived Guardian article about the issue. Thanks, u/AlbaShadow. As an apology, here's some more Guardian gutter press from last month, by a woman with an unfathomable lack of awareness to claim that "[all-female] organisations are empowering, but it’s equally important that women infiltrate all-male bastions".

This is from the BBC. Where are the Guardian outraged? Also, please remember that newspapers allow writers to voice their opinions, even if said opinions conflict with other writers.

http://archive.is/E6j3H there you go have one from the Guardian.

You are right that specific opinion pieces are the writers own views however, as I say above, even the "general information" articles on this story have all failed to mention that there are more Ladies clubs than Mens clubs in Scotland.

Thanks :-)

Pretty much every media outlet in Scotland is up in arms over this as are many politicians. 3 of the 5 main parties in Scotland have female leaders and they are all getting stuck in.

What each of these people fail to mention though is that there are a greater number of Women-only golf clubs in Scotland than Male-only.

No where are Women, or Men, banned from playing on a course. They are simply not allowed club membership preventing them access from that specific club's events.

It is no different to any other single sex activity group run for any sport, gym, outing or whatever of which there are thousands in Scotland alone.

Of course - the meme is that women are allowed to be sexist and it's not nor ever can be an issue.

I wonder how long it would be if they were admitted that they would demand lower membership fees per vagina? It's terribly interesting to see just how the screams of sexism are used to simply impose a different form of sexism that Invariably benefits the ladies and never the laddies!

Fascinating article.

Like so many things that men have been doing for longer than anybody can remember, it only looks weird when women start to do it. Women are tentatively – which is to say, in small numbers, not in attitude – embracing single-sex socialising.

Yeah, those countercultural Guardian reading women with their newfangled "girls' nights out".

The one thing few of [the traditional London gentlemen's clubs] have upgraded is their policy on women, but as it transpires, that was only ever a problem for the people on the outside.

Clubs serve the preferences of their members, not the preferences of outsiders who hate everything they stand for.

This is a thinking woman's club. Men's clubs were out-of-the-spotlight places, where men could get together, play cards, drink and eat to their hearts' content, talk about business and the things men talk about. What we are building is totally different – it's a sorority for women." ... "But," I helpfully clarify, "women don't come here to get rat-arsed without all the hassle from him indoors?" "No, no, no."

Clearly, the ruling energy in society has dictated that women are welcome to be alone with other women, but that men ought not assemble in the absence of female supervision or female presence in some form.

"even if you don't go out to meet guys, it's always going to be on someone's agenda. It's weirdly relaxing for that pressure to be off, and suddenly you can meet people and have conversations and swap numbers and it feels like there's less of an agenda." ... It's not so much about men and women, as about celibacy. The absence of sex, even in bursts so short that you can measure them out in coffee spoons, creates a breathing space in which other things – fellowship, calm, creativity, portions that are too small – can flourish.

Well put, and it applies to men-only clubs as well.
