Thanks for the article; it's worth reading.

The author is no friend of ours; he's a feminist. But even a broken watch is right twice a day - sexual assault trials belong in the courts.

Typical feminist - this part is particularly objectionable - he likes mob rule:

First, the state enforcers of criminal law are more susceptible to public pressure and advocacy than are the thousands of disparate colleges and administrators who operate between public and private scrutiny

Some judges and prosecutors are elected, depending upon the jurisdiction.

isn't it funny that if a man rapes a woman while both were students at a university, he only gets expelled BUT does not go to jail because the case doesn't carry over to the courts. lol. what a god damn fucking joke. if rape is so bad then wouldn't the woman want the man to go to prison too?

We need a conservative anti immigration group to call for campus illigal immigration tribunals, any one accused of being an illegal immigrant must prove beyond a preponderance of evidence that they are a legal resident

He proves his point by continually talking about the "victim".

We live under laws on sexual assault that, in large part, were not written with women’s interests in mind

Well, no they weren't...they were written with the LAW in mind. In one sentence this guy makes it clear he thinks men aren't sexual assault victims, and that the law should favor a gender over facts.

Last time I looked, when the Catholic Church tried to deal with sexual misconduct in-house, a monstrous cover-up occurred.

At minimum, the sanctions handed out by the courts are far greater than any private process condition.

That is where allegations of sexual assault should be dealt with. By the police and if necessary, a court.

There is proper investigative resources, proper legal assistance and all testimony is taken on oath under cross-examination under rules of evidence.

Except that those that are falsely accused are not bringing the full weight of the law to bear against those that are dragging them through all that in the first place.

In the UK feminists and the Labour party want Universities to follow the USA model. But all intelligent people know it is a can of worms and so it has been resisted. If a person has been sexually assaulted they must go to the police and the Police must investigate. End of. I doubt this will change in the UK since we have seen the disaster that has happened ion the USA on this policy

He ends up with the correct conclusion while travelling through the entirely misguided land of horrible reasoning.

Things like:

If getting beyond reasonable doubt is more difficult for sex crimes than for other offenses, relying on campus proceedings may be justified.

Which completely ignores the effect on the accused, the lack of rights of the accused and the idea that a shitty process could be misused. It's horrible reasoning and the article is replete with it.
