I thought people were really paranoid about women never letting men have their own spaces or do anything on their own, but yet again, it turns out there are women like this who do actually exist and think that men doing anything by themselves is a problem, holy fuck.

The funds were specifically earmarked for men's mental health / suicide prevention like CALM.
It was handled like St. Baldrick's. People sponsored you to shave (men and women could both donate and show up to see it happen thus giving the ;ladies something to do). Women who decided to grow facial hair could participate in shaving just like at St. Baldrick's, but don't do the faux shaving.

There's a movement to turn men into women and women into men - feminists would love to see roles reversed. When a man grows a full beard it's a sign of masculinity and it's something most women can't achieve (I.e. without hormones) so they would prefer to make it taboo.
