Teen's aunt is just one person, and it is understandable. I would feel the same for my niece. Also, being acquitted just mean not enough evidence to be found guilty, it does not mean innocent.

However, it'll be interesting to see how this plays out, what new info was unearthed, and how journalists, media, and the public respond.

I mean the title indicates it is already a fact in your mind too OP. If he did indeed rape a girl, he is a rapist. If he did not, he is not. That's how those words work.
