They seem to believe we live in wonderland where a) every women wants to work fulltime with children b) there will magically be more money as soon as everyone pays women more/hires more women c) divorce and single-mother households are non-existant.

The report also found that 59% of minimum wage jobs are held by women. "Too little attention has been focused on the situation of women working in low-paid, highly feminised sectors like care, retail and cleaning, " it said.

"Until their rates of pay and progression improve, the gender pay gap will not be eliminated."

dafuq? There is a reason these sectors are minimum wage. And the reason is not that these sectors are feminised. The reason is that almost everyone can do them with little to no training

WTF does this even mean?

Britain's financial services industry is being encouraged to sign up to a charter which could penalise executives if they do not meet targets to increase the number of senior female employees.

If we can't legally impose quotas on you for Princess-tier, excuse SENIOR MANAGEMENT jobs, we'll shame you into creating quotas on your own, so you can be sued for imposing the quota rather than the government.

They will make no progress on the until certain unpalatable changes are made:

Mothers who make false accusation of domestic violence or rape put in prison.

Fathers given real joint custody

Not all fathers seen as creepy if they take their kids to the play park

Mothers put in prison for restricting access to the children after divorce.

A father having an automatic right to be on the birth certificate, only mothers have this right currently.

Etc etc.

There is no equality with regards to children

There are masses of changes that need to be made.

If there are any experts in economics here please explain to me how paying women less than men (I am making an assumption here) is hurting the economy. Is it true that if some magic happened and women and men were paid exactly the same that the economy would suddenly have more money.
