Don't really know what to say, but unfortunately it's becoming more and more common now and of course the people who always suffer from this the most are the guys involved and the woman who lies never ever has to own up to what she did.

It is quite amazing that sexism like this has existed on such a grand scale for so long and the mob seems to love taking part in it.

If the accused was having an affair with your ex spanning several months, it's likely that he has texts/online messages from her that would cast doubt on her depiction of events, if not outright disprove them.

That said though this is something that needs to be traversed carefully. While you have your suspicions and are within your rights to have broken up with her, there's nothing here that definitively proves her accusation to be false (or true for that matter). Either of them could be lying.

I would personally just distance yourself from the situation as much as possible, and hope the truth comes out after the accusation has been investigated.

Im sorry that you two are going through this.

If I were you I would try to find a media source that would be willing to tell your side of the story.

But if you two go that way get ready for the hate to really pile on because the "believe the female" (well technically its "believe the victim" but lets be honest....) narrative has really taken hold.

Simply put the courts of both law and public opinion operate on a guilty even when proven innocent and punish you anyway standard.

But i really hope you fight this.

Covering up an affair is one of the main reasons for false rape accusations. If it is shown that she continued to see him after being "raped' then that's proof that she is a liar.

If she ever contacts you again, make sure you're able to record her and try to trick her into a confession. And make her admit, that at least your relationship was never abusive. Rekord every interaction and facebook message you get and make copies of everything you already have.

Because if things turn ugly she might turn you in too. You should be prepared.
