They offered her a plea deal and she refused. Apparently she didn't think she had done anything wrong and the pussypass would still be valid if she went to court.

Defense lawyer William J. Brennan argued that Knott has learned from the experience and should not be punished for going to trial.

I don't blame lawyers for trying this crap but that's ludicrous.

We can just ditch the entire judicial system, there is no need for criminal prosecution because committing criminal acts is a self-deterrent and nobody is ever, ever a repeat offender.

Her punishment isn't disproportionate to her crime, but again, the two guys who broke the poor guy's jaw got no jail time whatsoever.

The DA who cut that plea deal has his priorities fucked... par for Bucks county, unfortunately. That court system is a circus.
