Society needs betas to run the machines.

If you've ever read "Animal Farm" the expectation is that the most guys will be like "Boxer" - strong, works hard based on some "future reward"...which, in Boxer's case is to be sent off to the slaughterhouse with the payment received used to buy whiskey for the pigs.

So the job of the betas is to provide stability and cohesion, run the machines, "man up" and marry retired bar sluts (no matter how many bastard progeny she has nipping at her cankles), pay taxes (for the elites to spend as they see fit, i.e., keeping the elites in power) and otherwise STFU.

What is the promise to the betas? 50 weeks a year for work, two weeks off, maybe in Florida, and a pension (lucky we got rid of the pensions in CorporateLand back in 2001-2005, right?) that may or may not exist, Social Security that may or may not go bankrupt, and a 401k that may or may not get crushed in a bubble.

So a couple of thoughts:

A) All of this is great unless Billy Beta gets divorced, in which case he can look forward to losing half (minimum) of his stuff, plus 40% of his gross, plus half of his retirement in a QDRO, etc. But hey, guys, 'man up' and get married!

B) Note the HUGE attempted shaming of the White Working Class after the 2016 election. They were shamed because they didn't "Shut up and vote the way they were 'supposed to'". That's because they figured out what a screw job they were getting. Not that Trump would necessarily be objectively 'better' but hey, we're back to having only two genders and Trump at least likes citizens better than migrants, etc. I don't follow politics that much, but there was a great hue and cry on the Left which was basically "How could you DO this to us?! How could you BETRAY us?!" directed at the White Working Class, never mind that the Left basically stopped giving a shit about the WWC long ago. "Reagan Democrats"? That was the WWC starting to get a clue about what was going on. Anyway, I've gone on too long about this, but that's the general picture.

"Slut shaming"

I'm not a RTP expert. But I found your question interesting. So here goes:

Assuming girls have a AF/BB mating strategy, then having nice guys (BB) in society helps them greatly in the long run
They can't SAY they want AF because of slut-shaming in society.
So they (secretly) want to be dominated, hoping they guy they are with will break from the beta-pack and degrade them in private, but then still have the pretense of being innocent/non-slutty in public.

The really interesting question, in my opinion, is that now that 'slut-shaming' is breaking down in society (see other people's posts to confirm this, but its true), will females in fact now overtly push for males to be degrading.

Well..., it does seem society is slowly turning against the traditional 'nice guy'. They are now mocked on reddit, and around the web,

When women say that they like nice guys what they really mean is that they like a masculine MAN who is nice to them.

Where the dick part comes in, contrary to the belief around reddit, is that women are actually awful at separating alpha together dudes from dickhead, douchebag losers so their hamsters use cheat codes.

The problem arises because the douchebag, dick loser has many of the same "outward" characteristics of the alpha to which they are looking while the weak ass "nice guy" beta to which you are referring has none of those characteristic cheat codes. So girls side with the douchebags in the hopes that at some point her cheat codes will luck her into an alpha...she knows the beta ass "nice guy" isn't him but can not tell with the douchebag yet.

Most girls won't tolerate the dickhead for very long once they come to understand the difference. Of course, there are a few damaged women who will stay with a dickhead long term but that is a self-esteem issue that causes those women to not believe they deserve better. But most normal girls move on fairly quickly, of course, young ones keep going on to another one in the hopes that her cheat code will be better next time. So what happens is that one of two things usually happens....1) cheat code actually produces an alpha and the girl goes crazy over the dude. 2) girl tires of repeated failures and ultimately decides to give up the strain of filtering thru douchebags and she starts to actually look for the opposite of her cheat codes...THE BETA "nice guy".

So what to do? Many dudes go the full douchebag route because it fits their personality and produces the results they want.... I would suggest a more measured route....tilting more toward the douchebag side of the equation while building\working toward being the actual real thing and the ultimate in attractiveness...an alpha with his shit together and masculine but that is actually nice to people because they are comfortable with themselves and not threatened by other people.
