Oh fuck off, that's feminist level bullshit, while I do think it's nice to cater to these people to help them out games developers are not 'obliged' to provide colour blind options.

Yes, I know I sound harsh, but I happen to be developing a game and unless you can somehow guarantee me that the demographic you're talking about ( Which I know for a fact you can't and won't ) is going to buy the game if I cater to them you can't make the fucking demand that I change something or add something in my game for you.

Let's put this in a mathematical way, because I have seen this shit happen enough times in the games industry for it to really get in my nerves.

If as a developer I devote time and resources to adding something to a game that 10% of my customer base wants but the rest of the game will suffer because of it as I do not have the resources or time to help work on the rest of the game which the 90% of my customer base actually enjoy.

From a business perspective and frankly personal perspective, it is simply not worth potentially ruining the game by devoting lots of time to making it colourblind friendly when it will only make 10% of customers happy vs 90% of people who will get pissed off.

Adding to this, if putting in colourblind friendly colours or textures and lighting etc. takes away content or changes things a lot, that's going to be an even bigger piss take for the players. By the way, I saw they've actually started inventing these glasses that help colourblind people see properly again, so it looks like medical science will render this kind of whining pointless.

If you think I'm exaggerating, I've seen so many games that have in fact ruined themselves over whatever perceived demographic out there might be either offended, catered to, or inticed by. As it turns out, in almost every single case, the people involved with any of these kinds of complaints are so small in number that they're actually quite irrelevant to the market, or more often it's somebody else speaking for them, or alternatilvely it turns out they don't exist.

This is trivial and they're not required to accommodate colourblind people. If they choose not to and they lose 10% of the market that is their punishment.
