An investigation in the culture of the legal and police service that has allowed this sort of thing to happen is needed. Some heads need to roll here; apologies are not enough, this is callous.

Further more, the culture of immunity from prosecution for false allegations that allowed 'Nick' to spew his slander should be addressed.
