In what state does the daughter reside? If it is a one party consent state like Georgia, and not a two party consent state like Florida, then why don't you talk to the daughter while you have your phone on some sort of voice recorder app and talk about her false allegation while surreptitiously recording her answers. Once you have a clear admission that she fabricated the sexual assault, then take the recording to your uncle's attorney, so he can file a motion for a new trial. Ask her why she made the false allegation, who told her to make the false allegation, did she feel guilty for making the false allegation. Be kind to her because she is probably under a lot of stress, but whatever you do, do not tell her you made the recording.

Just curious—how did this happen at trial if the rest of the family knows how crazy this woman is? I would think they could have provided more than enough testimony to discredit her.

Forgive me, I'm not trying to suggest that your uncle is actually guilty, and I do understand that men get falsely convicted of sexual assault. I am simply interested in understanding how that happens, because despite the various biases against men in society, we also do have legitimate judicial protections against false convictions. If they weren't applied in your uncle's case, that's a grave injustice, but I am curious as to how it all did play out.
