You'll notice Ramsey always stands like that (one arm across body, one at chin)when he is in a confrontation. It looks casual or like he's thinking, but defends the body and face both. This is the stance taught to a lot of bouncer/security types (also taught by Bas Rutten) as it provides defense without looking aggressive. I think Gordon also has a black belt in karate.
