It's from Jersey Shore. The guy does go overboard in actually hitting her (and it's an amazing punch, too) but she was being incredibly annoying and wouldn't leave the guy alone, doing that 'get in your face and talk shit as though I have a force field around me' attitude.

I saw this episode when it first aired and haven't seen it since so my memory may be foggy, but from what I remember, the guy took shots that the Jersey Shore cast had paid for and Snooki was expressing her disdain for that. I don't really remember her being incredibly annoying or even saying a whole lot before she got punched.

Yes, the dude was being a dickhole. Stole their shots blatantly and was being an ass about it. Snooki, very rightly, was pissed and started yelling at him, as any sane person would have a right to. Then the dude full on destroys her jaw. He was 100% in the wrong here, and she was doing what anyone has the right to do, yell at someone literally stealing from her.

Holy fuck... am I defending Snooki right now... I need to sit down and reevaluate my life for a bit

OK as far as posts to PPD, no. I think it's disingenuous though to say that many of the comments on this sub and many people's attitudes support this kind of shit. That's the problem with PPD. Some posts are funny and obvious instances of chicks trying to play the v card where others are "this bitch needs to be put in her place" or "women need to be hit to teach them to shut up." Many obviously recognize and oppose this but there's this ugly subsection of followers that clearly eat that shit up and its fucking gross.
