In all seriousness though, I just read this on cbc, getting more enraged with each sentence and came here to share the same article. This is the sort of thing that makes people snap. If the father had done exactly the same thing as the psychotic bitch mother, he would have been arrested on the spot the first time he went to the airport. If by some chance he happened to make it out of the country, he'd be arrested at the airport in Australia and dumped on the next flight back to Canada in shackles. The Mounties always get their man; if it's a woman, 'cut her some slack, eh?'

I saw someone blame the execution of these laws on the patriarchy in another sub. It is the fault of men that women aren't charged in equilibrium in situations like this.

So I'm a little confused who had custody of the child? And does having custody not factor in when moving residence? If she has primary custody shouldn't she be able to take the child?
