I can't tell, was she intentionally hitting him, or lashing out reactively because of PTSD from her past relationship?

The presenter tells her that any violence is about power and control, even though both partners are insisting she just goes into fight mode if she's surprised. Maybe that's a lie, it's hard to tell from the 2 minutes they're talking.

Yeah, the guy's a mangina (co-dependent?). But the woman doesn't seem to have any intent to hurt him, and she's trying to get help (not trying hard enough, but neither of them seem very resourceful). I doubt there's a lot of resources for violent women who want to change.
