Ya, some of these are kind of silly/unnecessary, but if the marketing works... I love how when they are men's products last month it was all "omg, masculinity is so fragile they need men's tea!" but then show that this is just a marketing thing and suddenly it's all "omg, corporations are so stupid pushing gender like this!" Or whatever. That's how I read it.

Also, #6 and didn't mention gender (a few others like #7 and #8may not have, but we didn't see the packaging), they just had pink and blue options. The gendering was in the author's head that time, maybe she(?) should take a good hard look at her own gender-typing biases.

How about 'Just for Men'-brand hair dye? That might scare women away from coloring their beards.

Or 'Hungry Man' dinners? Or the dreaded 'Manwich'?

Or 'Bazooka Joe' chewing gum? 'Joe' isn't a woman's name so they'll be frightened-away from chewing it. It's even pink! And pink is a woman's color but it has a man's name! That's worse than coloring a woman's product pink-- it's appropriating femininity for a male-named product! My god, the atrocities against women are simply endless. It's a never-ending carnival of misogynistic horrors! The whole universe is a torture-chamber for women only!

It not the products that are truly absurd, methinks.

This reminds me of how a friend brought up the "pink tax", and how it oppressed women. She argued that despite having the same ingredients, women's products were more expensive (which is untrue, many women's products add ingredients specifically for women). To this I answered, why not buy the men's product, if it is identical? I mean... You don't have to conform to gender roles, right? I was quickly blocked.
