So I've been seeing this girl for a few weeks. She suddenly started to become needy, disrespectful, and rude. I played it cool, teasing her back until she started to bug me. I like her, but if she is going to act like this, I'd rather just drop her.

So I 'soft nexted' her. She sent me a ton of texts and messages which I didn't read. Finally I saw one that said 'Okay, I can ignore you too!' Then today I saw 'Everything okay? Haven't heard from you...'

I really like the idea of this. It's like a timeout for bad behavior, or not rewarding unwanted behavior with attention. I'm thinking about tomorrow or the next day hitting her up. I'm new to this though and I have yet to contact a girl after the fact. My question is how do I pick up where we left off before the bad behavior. Do I just say 'hey whats up?' like nothing happened; Or say I've been really busy focusing on personal stuff. (True, actually) From my understanding she should be all calmed down and happy to talk to me. If she is gonna come with the drama, I'm gonna just let her know that I'm not looking for that right now and I'll be moving on. What is the best way to go about re-contacting her?
