This stood out to me, 406 up votes for a joke about domestic violence against women, 53 up votes for a response about domestic violence against men. They were both posted at almost the same time too. Double standards anybody?

It's not really a double standard. Jokes like these work because of the initial "shock" once you've gotten over the surprise of the first one the impact of the second isn't going to be as strong. Also; who gives a shit about jokes? Other than obviously feminists.

You guys are right, I was doing something that I actually really can't stand.

Trying to make something out of nothing.

It was the first thing I read when I woke up in the am so I think it just caught me off guard.
