I'm not entirely sure that this belongs here. However, feminism has made sexual interaction of any kind inseparable from its zero-sum politics, and so there is a controversy.

I am not a fan of whistling or catcalling, and I don't do it. I have been on the receiving end of this behaviour from girls - only once, I'm not that attractive - and my main reactions were of confusion and embarrassment.

Public behaviour of this kind is wrong, in my opinion. But as this article shows, there are other opinions out there and not all of them are male ones.
