Another female college student charged with filing false rape report. Probably why feminists want schools to handle things. Lying to the police has consequences.

That brings me to my second point: As long as universities are responsible for investigating and adjudicating rape accusations — and they are responsible, alongside the police and the courts, according to the federal Department of Education — they have to get better at it.

That's the whole point. Colleges should not investigate rape accusations, the police should. If a murder, a battery, a theft, a burglary or an arson would happen on a campus the police would investigate, not the college. And if a rape would happen at the workplace, at high school or at home, the victim would also have to go to the police.

All crimes are investigtated by the police, no matter what they are and no matter where they happen, just with one big exception: rape at campuses. It just makes no sense. Give it to the police, they are the professionals, they know how to preserve evidences which has to be done especially quick for rape when hematomas and such are still there.

There are only two groups who profit from the current system: actual rapists and wrong accusers - exactly the two groups who should not profit.

Well, if the victim goes to the college authorities first and they don't send her directly to the police (which they often don't), then the evidences (like the hematomes) can't be conserved. Their will be not enough evidence to bring the rapist before court and he will only be expelled from college and not have to go to jail. So he can go to another college or start working where he can keep preying on other women.

Too many feminists are stooping to this level of logic. The entire movement will come crashing down and they will blame the patriarchy.

“I choose to believe Jackie,” Jessica Valenti wrote in The Guardian. “I lose nothing by doing so, even if I’m later proven wrong.” In The Washington Post, Zerlina Maxwell argued: “We should believe, as a matter of default, what an accuser says. Ultimately, the costs of wrongly disbelieving a survivor far outweigh the costs of calling someone a rapist.”

So......did either of them ever actually admit they were wrong? Its real easy to pretend to be "brave" when you never admit to being wrong. Seriously name a mainstream feminist with a following like these two that have ever admitted to being wrong when they chose to believe the victim much less apologize to the accused. Ill wait....

But anyway about this article. I can understand someone thinking this is a good way to stop the advances and abuse.

Its the hope that if they submit and do what they say the abuse will stop or at least not be as hurtful. You can see this with children who are abused and are eager to please. They want the abuse to end.

However with that said I am not saying that anytime someone does what this woman did it must be because they were submitting in hopes of calming the abuser.
