I wouldn't blame yourself, this kind of knowledge is something that is buried behind layers and layers of feminists propaganda, even here on Reddit. All I can say is just explore as many viewpoints and opinions as possible, to do this you don't go to the mainstream sources, look absolutely everywhere.

You are not ignorant!

Ignorant means that you ignore certain evidence/proof, to not devaluate things you believed.

Since you didn't have the information, you were not ignorant in the past. Since you let arguments change you when you found out about certain information, you are not ignorant right now.

You where lacking knowledge, and actually we all do. It's a sign of a critical mind to seek knowledge that challenges what you thought was right. That's exactly the reason why I think the people in /r/exmuslim are great, because they broke out of an indoctrination even bigger than feminism indoctrinates people in our countries.

Where you should start is actually easy. Question EVERYTHING a feminist tells you. Or even better, question everything at all, even what I said right now and even yourself.

If you want to gain knowlege about mensrights issues, you can ask here. People sometimes have good information that tells you clearly why some statistics about rape and violence are just wrong.

But the final word about whether a statistics is wrong is only gained by reading the whole study and think about it clearly. To understand the problems, you may care about learning about statistics, logic, and fallacies.

first off make sure to fact check things you read from either side. our sub doesn't tend to use misleading stats nearly as much as feminists do, but it can happen. look at the sources, ask questions, and feel free to call out BS if you find it here (just asking questions will get you banned from the feminist subs so be prepared for that if you choose to go there). read, watch, understand... look up girlwriteswhat specifically for some of the best videos you can find on the matter that are very well articulated. TL;DR (teal deer) is another good one to watch, as well as thunderf00t and SargonofAkkad. all of them do an incredible job of explaining why feminists are wrong and why we exist. the amazing atheist is decent too but historically he's been more about atheism than me s rights, and he used to have a huge tendency of just ranting angrily that really put me off watching him long ago... he's toned it down quite a bit in the stuff I have seen recently.

Hey guys. After reading some of the posts on here, I can say I have a lot to learn. Truth is I'm going into law school next year and I want to fight this type of discrimination. I hate it. I will lurk on here and learn from you guys. If I say something dumb, please correct me. Please.

You can only have a common law marriage in Texas if you: 1.) agree to be married; 2.) live together as a married couple; and 3.) tell other people that you are married. In other words, it is not something that randomly happens. Common law marriage is a legal holdover from frontier days when a priest to marry couples could be hard to find. It also serves to protect creditors. It is not some random gotcha.

I just came across a very good video today which is a response to someone criticizing the men's rights movement. If you are new, I would advise to watch the original criticism aswell to see from what sort of person it's coming and how people like that see the world, since you should never close yourself off from differing opinions. I don't think there really is a real comprehensive collection of issues, discussions and sources. It's all pretty spread out as far as I know.

You might want to look up people like Christina Hoff Sommers, Karen Straughan, Sargon of Akkad, Thunderf00t, Milo Yiannopoulos, etc etc.

Just keep in mind that some of this stuff can be rather overwhelming since there's so much of it that is completely under the radar of mainstream media. It's only recently they've been forced to discuss certain issues because of an endless stream of comments quoting statistics showing a different side of the picture, and MRA's and egalitarians increasingly growing in popularity on alternative media, and now finally in the mainstream aswell. Times are a changin! Slowly...
