Good article. I think the future (who knows how long) will change marriage into something we can't fathom today. Perhaps a "lease" of the woman's womb to produce children. Discourse today suggests only the women like marriage. Men have always be excited about newness. Women, on the other hand.. are wired to need a worker and security.

While it seems like a scifi movie, perhaps future children will indeed be raised by the State and women can have productive lives wo just being caregivers. Marriage might then be a renewable contract between partners. Not marriage at all costs forever.
