What is the role of identity politics in the MRM?

Nothing at all.

"Men" is about the only identity that hasn't been politicized.

Identity politics should, ideally, be kept to a minimum in the MRM.

I see the MRM mostly as a civil libertarian movement, as so many men's rights issues stem from a failure to respect the equal protection and due process rights (among other rights) of men.

It would be a shame to see the MRM fall into supporting a gender-reversed version of the oppressor/oppressed dynamic that radical and third wave feminists favor.

In my view, the MRM's primary function should be organizing around specific issues where men are being discriminated against (especially in the legal/public policy realm), and allying with anyone who is willing to support us on that specific issue, whether they be feminist, MRA, conservative, liberal, libertarian, socialist, moderate, or whatever else.

I have always felt that the MRM should strive to be what the feminists claim to be and support full gender equality. This means avoiding excessive identitarianism that could lead to some attempting to justify some very peculiar definitions of equality.

Identity politics are a fucking joke and the reason why I'm here, they really are ruining everything.

"You haven't included enough black people"

"Where are the women? You'd better put some women into your group or hire them otherwise we're going to force you to you shitlord!"

"Why don't you have any gays?"

"Why aren't you making a transexual character?"

"How dare you make a white hand!"

The moment identity politics started it just got more and more fucking ridiculous. I think the most damaging aspect of it all is the idea of hiring people based purely on their ethnicity and not on their skillsets or qualifications. Way to take down civilisation, can you imagine having to hire people at a nuclear facility and being forced to make sure a certain percentage were black or hispanic and they had no experience operating the thing? That's my nightmare scenario really.

If people actively did this for white men, there would be cries of racism and the entire world would go ballistic, but because history, it's all okay in the eyes of these morons to do it if you're not white.

No, equality is what we should be aiming for, not fucking discrimination or favourtism which is entirely what identity politics is all about.
