Her believing in "The Wage Gap" isn't going to get you locked in the rape cage we call prison. She could still believe in the Easter Bunny and Santa Clause for the real affect that it has.

The real question is how far into the threat narrative of victim feminism has she gone. The core premise of feminism is that women are not people, but helpless objects acted upon by The Patriarchy. If she actually believes that, R U N!!!

You need to talk with her about her views on Affirmative Consent laws and find out if she supports equal shared parenting and alimony reform and shelters for abused men.

Her believing the propaganda about wage discrimination doesn't mean she is a bad person. It is possible she is a misinformed egalitarian, not a feminist.

Don't bring politics into relationships. I know a married couple where the wife is a devoted catholic and the husband is an outspoken atheist who thinks religion is for idiots. But the wife is very good at stopping any chat or discussion that will turn into a debate of religion.

I know friends from politically unstable regions, and debating politics is enough to pitch family members against each other. Don't do that.

Your friend can simply be clueless about what feminist movement is up to, buying into what she heard. Can't blame her since even Obama said so about wage gap. However, if she starts going off about rape culture, the blurry line of consent, oppression, you better run. Because she will always be the victim and you will always be the aggressor for whatever that didn't go her way.

Any woman who self declares herself a feminist should be avoided at all costs on every socal and where possible professional level. Not all feminists are 'lie tgat' sure. But feminsm CREATED the conditions for 'thse women' ON PURPOSE. Whether she believes in that rot right now is irrelevant. Its whether she does when youve broken up, and she wants to 'hurt you back'.
