When is it OK for the alleged perpetrator of domestic violence, a purported bully beating the living daylights out of their relatives on a regular basis, to be regarded as a sporting hero, lauded for their achievements on the pitch while their offences off it are routinely ignored? The answer is simple: when the sporting champion in question is a woman.

It's nice to see an article that starts off by not pulling any punches.

For as much as women denigrate a man for saying this, the truth remains: Hope Solo is an attractive women who helps sell jerseys and gain TV ratings from men who fantasize about having sex with her. "Pussy Pass", indeed. That she's perhaps the greatest female soccer goalie of all time is almost a side note.

Here were the brave English women demonstrating their skill, athleticism and mental resolve in a wholly praise-worthy fashion.

I don't think these soccer players are brave playing fucking soccer.

I've also submitted a huge comment under 'The Citizen Act' on this post, here it is:

"We'll just keep screaming on about domestic violence being perpetrated by women and you, and your ilk, will just keep ignoring us.

Hundreds of independent studies show domestic violence is perpetrated by women just as often as men (many of which have been reported on by this very newspaper, albeit with little in the way of moral outrage typically only reserved for women) and a study from Harvard University which was dragged down after a litany of protest from gender feminists, showed women commit upwards of 70% of all acts of domestic violence.

We're talking hundreds here, over decades. Yet still the DV debate is orientated around 'male perpetrator/female victim.' They ignore that even back in the 70's, Erin Pizzey, the woman who set-up the first domestic violence shelter for battered women, stated that most of the women who came through the doors of her refuge had committed just as many acts of DV on their male partners, or instigated the violence.

What happened to her? Her dog was killed, her family was threatened, she received numerous bomb threats and she went into exile for about 15 years. It doesn't matter how obvious it is, much like 'sexual objectification culture', much like 'rape culture' (0.02% of people, and that's based on a percentage of the entire population not the adult population, were raped last year - even if you accounted for 100% of rapes on top of that going un-reported, it doesn't even come close to the 'rape culture' they love to parade around), much like 'mansplaining', or 'manspreading' (men have recently been arrested for this in New York), the debate, the narrative, will always orientate around women, irrespective of how much logic is presented (particularly in the form of the pay gap).

Why? Because the narrative around these topics isn't about 'equality', it's about exploiting genuine victims of domestic violence, rape, discrimination, etc., and using them for political point scoring - much like Sturgeon and Harman did during the GE in their call to arms and proclamations on behalf of ALL women (how can one woman speak for ALL women?), they don't care about women, they care about demonising and pathologising another generation of males, and scoring political victories aloft the summit of mount moral superiority.

It doesn't matter men are killing themselves in record numbers, are twice as likely to be the victim of a violent crime, less than 40% of all University applications, 20% of all primary school teachers (and in huge minorities in professional service depts. at Universities, in the psychology industry, the charity sector, etc), 6x more likely to be homeless, 66% of all homicide victims, are provided with 60 refuges relative to 7,000 for women, are 90%+ of workplace deaths, have reduced life expectancies relative to women, etc., no - we need to shut down all women-only prisons, declare a rape culture, stick all boys on ritalin so they conform to female standards of behaviour and deride 'prescriptive, socially conditioned masculinity' (EU-speak) for all it isn't worth!"

Hold on now. I'm all for equal punishment, but all of this is alleged, correct? What damning evidence is there against her? What court has found her to be guilty? Without any of those things this is slanderous and the same garbage we fight against when it happens to a man!

Do any Americans know the last Men's World Cup viewer numbers for America?

The usual suspects in media outlets are pushing the new narrative really hard that womens sports need to be paid the exact same for men's sports, despite the fact the top ranking teams aren't as good as the top ranking male teams and pull in far, far less money.

All I can find is the last worls wide viewe statistics which numbers a little over a billion viewers.

While the USA has 26million-ish and from what I've seen of world viewer stats for the Women's World Cup it's around 100million.

100 million compared to a billion.

Anyone know the exact stats? I'm seeing this "equal pay for women's soccer/sport NOW!"idiocy everywhere and would like to use the exact statistics to refute it when it comes up.
