The author says that consent proceeds from the first touch to intercourse, but that isn't completely true. It would be more accurate to say, from the first touch THROUGH intercourse. Consent to have intercourse is consent to have intercourse in the position and the manner in which consent was given. Any change in position or manner revokes consent for that position and that manner. Consent must then be given for the position change. At each position change consent much be reestablished.

If you have sex with someone and realize, in post-coital clarity, that consent was lacking at a particular stage, your only recourse is to turn the other person in before they turn you in.

This makes any married couple or people in long term relationships liable to some degree. I thinks it's Really going to make a mess of divorce and child custody legal procedures. Most politicians are Lawyers they both make the laws and interpret them but their first and top priority always seems to be ensuring prosperity and job security for their fellow lawyers. There able to turn any cultural discussion into more lawsuits more criminal acts and more billable hours, funny how that works out.

Deleon is creepy as hell. Maybe we should initiate an initiative to require all California politicians to follow the yes-means-yes protocol in their personal lives, or be thrown out of government as rapists. These Orwellian pieces of shit should keep their filthy minds out of other people's sex lives.

Good, I hope this passes. When 99% of students get labeled as rapists then we'll see how stupid affirmative consent really is.
